Is this true? I have always believed from what I have read in Gods Holy word that the only unforgivable sin is to blaspheme the Holy Spirit.
Please elaborate, thankyou.
swordofYHWH,
Ah!
The Susan Atkins thread. There’s certainly a lot to read in there, lol.
You are absolutely correct in saying that the only
unpardonable sin is blasphemy against the Holy Spirit.
In her letter to me, so-called “Sexy Sadie” kept justifying her murders so I was being a tad hardcore with her internet "supporters."
The verse(s) in question is:
1Jn 3:15 “No murderer hath eternal life abiding in him.”Of course this refers to the homicide of a fellow Israelite so the key words in this statement are “abiding in him.” Those who maliciously murder another lose their “blessed assurance” of eternal life while they live (thus it doesn’t abide "within" them). This is because they are in danger of the greater Judgement and listed as “without” the Kingdom:
Rev 22:14-15; “Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city. For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.”Can (and does) Yahweh forgive murderers? With God
all things are possible.
Still, it would be very distressing to face the person you slew in life at the throne of Yahweh. We’re not talking about self-defense or war here – we’re talking the cold-blooded, premeditated murder of another human being (as Atkins did
Tate), one of God’s most perfect and highest creations.
The Word is very
strict against those who engage in “the way of Cain.” Yahweh is very clear:
Deu 5:17; “Thou shalt not kill.”
Num 35:30; “Whoso killeth any person, the murderer shall be put to death.”
1Pe 4:15; “Let none of you suffer as a murderer.”I hope that helps - murder is evil, period.
